struggling with breast or bottle feeds?
Feeding is instinctual to babies and when there is a struggle with this delicate process it can cause havoc in an already stressful situation paired with lack of sleep. It can stress even the calmest and coolest of parents to no end when their child won't eat.
It is so imperative to get help at this time because if there is an issue now it usually only gets worse. Many parent concerns are dismissed because the baby is gaining weight. We urge you to see an evaluation with our trained staff because this myth that everything is fine if they are gaining weight can lead to further aversion and so much stress! |

our success stories
CLAIRE
Before: Claire came to us at 1 month of age. She was struggling with breastfeeding and bottle feeding. Mom was concerned because she had an upcoming trip planned and if Claire didn't take a bottle, she wouldn't be able to eat! We only had about 2 weeks to turn this around.
After: Within 2 weeks, Claire was drinking from a bottle! We realized she was struggling with severe reflux and using our tried and true strategies plus some oral motor training, she was quickly able to reverse her refusal to drink from the bottle. |
EMILY
Before: Emily came to us at 4.5 months old would only eat while dream feeding and absolutely hated drinking from breast or bottle. Every meal was a struggle! Her pediatrician wasn't concerned because she was gaining weight, but mom knew something else was up! Emily would take 45 minutes to finish 2 oz of milk!
After: After getting diagnosed with ties and reflux, we worked with Emily's mom to teach her the oral motor exercises, stretches, and reflux strategies to reverse Emily's mealtime stressers. Emily started working with a chiropractor and a craniosacral therapist before her ties were released. She now post procedure is doing beautifully, having gone through pre therapy she didn't struggle as most do with the stretches, and is now eating and drinking from a straw and cup and is already starting to chew foods at 6 months old! Her bottle drinking has dramatically improved and she is easily drinking 5 oz in under 20 minutes. |
